Chrissie has been practicing and teaching iyegnar yoga for 30 years. In this iyegnar inspired restorative yoga she uses props such as bolsters, bricks, and straps to enable a supportive environment in which the body can totally relax.
She says that “Relaxation is the antidote to stress”. The supported asanas benefit the body in many ways. For example by lowering HBP, reducing menstrual cramps, soothing anxiety, and depression. Additionally they also cultivate the habit of attention and restore energy and balance all the systems of the body.
