About the Chakra Series
The Chakra Series at Avata is an ongoing practice where we explore one chakra at a time. Every one to two months, the focus moves to a new chakra, and we learn about it together through asana, pranayama, and meditation. No prior knowledge is needed.

Key Benefits
- Learn Gradually – Focusing on one chakra at a time keeps the practice simple and unhurried.
- Movement, Breath, and Stillness – Each class blends gentle postures, breathwork, and meditation.
- Mindful Reflection – The traditional themes of each chakra offer a starting point for quiet self-reflection.
- Open to All Levels – Poses can be modified to suit you.
What to Expect
Each session centers on one chakra, opening with a short grounding meditation, moving through postures and breathwork linked to that chakra’s theme, and closing in quiet stillness. Props are available where helpful, and poses can be modified for all levels.
The Seven Chakras
- Muladhara (Root) – stability and groundedness
- Svadhisthana (Sacral) – creativity and flow
- Manipura (Solar Plexus) – confidence and personal power
- Anahata (Heart) – compassion and connection
- Vishuddha (Throat) – expression and truthfulness
- Ajna (Third Eye) – intuition and insight
- Sahasrara (Crown) – awareness and spiritual connection
Chakras are part of traditional yogic philosophy and are offered here as a practice for reflection, not as medical guidance.
