About the Workshop

What happens when you move with someone else instead of moving alone?

AcroYoga brings together elements of yoga, acrobatics, and therapeutic movement to create a shared practice between partners. It involves supporting, balancing, lifting, and moving together while staying connected to your body and your partner.

Beyond the physical movement, AcroYoga invites you to develop trust, communication, presence, and awareness.

This workshop introduces you to the foundations of AcroYoga in a supportive environment where safety and connection come first.

You don’t need to be highly flexible, strong, or experienced in acrobatics. The practice begins with simple foundations and develops through communication, technique, and trust.

What You’ll Explore

This 2-hour workshop will introduce you to four key areas:

  • AcroYoga Foundations: Learn the basic principles and techniques that form the foundation of partner AcroYoga.
  • Body Alignment & Safe Movement: Understand how alignment, positioning, and mindful movement help create a safer and more supportive practice.
  • Base, Flyer & Spotter: Explore the three roles within AcroYoga and how each person contributes to balance, stability, and safety.
  • Trust, Connection & Communication: Learn how clear communication and awareness can help partners move together with greater confidence and ease.

What Happens During the Workshop?

The session will begin with an introduction to the foundations of AcroYoga, followed by movement and partner-based exercises.

You’ll gradually explore simple techniques and positions while learning how to communicate with your partner and work with the support of a spotter.

The practice may include elements of balancing, lifting, supporting, and flowing together, always with attention to alignment and safety.

You will be guided through each step, allowing you to explore the movements at a pace that feels comfortable.

You don’t need to get everything right on your first try.

The workshop is about learning, experimenting, and discovering how movement can become a shared experience.

Who Is This Workshop For?

This workshop is for anyone curious to explore AcroYoga and partner-based movement.

No previous AcroYoga experience is required.

Whether you are completely new to the practice or have explored partner movement before, you are welcome to join with curiosity and an open mind.

You can come with a partner, friend, or on your own and meet others at the workshop.
