Yin Yang
The combination of passive (Yin) and energetic (Yang) yoga practices are rooted in an idea to create awareness and balance in our life, through alternatively exerting and quieting ourselves. It blends two styles of yoga into one practice that combines passively holding yoga poses with more dynamic sequences and standing postures.
In traditional yoga, such similar practice is relatable to abhyasa (practice) and vairagya (dispassion). Ying and Yang practice helps us understand that these two aspects always co-exist to create balance.
This form of yoga stimulates the energy channels of the body, brings balance to different organs, improves flexibility and mobility, calms and balances the mind and body, reduces stress and anxiety and at the same time, tones and strengthens the body, increases stamina and removes tension in the body allowing breath and prana to flow.
